Rental Requirements
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A refundable security deposit may be required depending on the vehicle, rental length, delivery location, and booking details.
Deposit amounts can vary by vehicle and will be reviewed before your rental is confirmed.
How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?
Drivers must be at least 25 years old to rent from Hot Rods & Rides.
Some vehicles may have additional requirements depending on performance level, insurance guidelines, rental use, or event details.
Do I need a valid driver’s license?
Yes. A current, valid driver’s license is required before the vehicle is released.
The driver’s license must match the approved driver listed on the rental. Additional drivers may need to be approved in advance.
What about insurance?
Drivers must provide proof of active auto insurance before the rental begins.
Insurance requirements may vary depending on the vehicle. High-performance, exotic, classic, or specialty rentals may require additional verification before approval.
Booking and Rental Details
What is the minimum rental period?
Minimum rental periods may vary by vehicle, season, delivery location, and event type.
Longer minimums may apply for weekends, holidays, weddings, corporate events, photoshoots, delivery requests, and high-demand dates.
Is mileage included?
Most rentals include a mileage policy.
Mileage limits, included mileage, and additional mileage options can be reviewed before booking. If you are planning a longer drive through Sonoma County, Napa, Marin, or the coast, let us know in advance so we can help confirm the right rental option.
Can I choose a specific vehicle?
Yes. You can browse the fleet and reserve the vehicle that fits your preferred dates, plans, or event.
Vehicle availability may vary by date, rental length, and delivery needs.
How do I book?
Choose your car, pick your dates, and submit your rental request online.
Our team will confirm availability, rental details, driver requirements, and any delivery options before your booking is finalized.
Delivery and Service Area
Do you deliver vehicles?
Yes. Delivery may be available for select rentals throughout Sonoma County, Napa County, Marin County, and nearby Northern California destinations.
Delivery can often be coordinated to hotels, private estates, wineries, event venues, vacation rentals, airports, photoshoot locations, and select coastal areas.
Where are you located?
Hot Rods & Rides is based in Petaluma, California.
Our location gives drivers easy access to Sonoma County, Napa Valley, Marin County, Wine Country, and the Northern California coast.
Does delivery cost extra?
Delivery fees may apply depending on the location, distance, vehicle, rental length, and timing.
Any delivery fees or minimum rental requirements will be reviewed before your booking is confirmed.
Events and Special Uses
Can I rent a vehicle for a wedding or event?
Yes. Our vehicles are available for weddings, private events, corporate events, photoshoots, content production, Wine Country weekends, and special occasions.
If you are booking for an event, please share the location, timing, vehicle needs, and any special details before reserving.
Can I rent a car for a photoshoot or video shoot?
Yes. Many of our vehicles are a great fit for photoshoots, music videos, brand shoots, lifestyle content, and creative projects.
Shoot details, location, timing, and vehicle handling requirements should be discussed before booking.
Can someone else drive the vehicle?
Only approved drivers may operate the vehicle.
Any additional driver must meet rental requirements and be approved before the rental begins.
